The conference seeks to address a wide range of topics and questions, including but not limited to:
- What is the current role of interdisciplinary research in the humanities?
- What is interdisciplinarity? What different fields does it usually incorporate?
- How are you incorporating an interdisciplinary approach to your research, what benefits it provides?
- Interdisciplinarity, multidisciplinarity, mixed-methods etc. - what are the different modes of relating disciplines?
- Any other topics or research dealing with interdisciplinarity in humanities.
A variety of presentation formats are welcomed, e.g.:
1. Session presentations: 15 presentation + 15min discussion
Interested participants are invited to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words along with a short bio (150 words). The abstract should include both the problem/phenomenon under discussion and the possible solution/findings.
2. Science slam: 3-5 min presentation
Interested participants are invited to submit a description (up to 300 words) of their creative presentation method and chosen topic, along with a brief bio (150 words). We encourage creative way of presenting/explaining the (ongoing) research (lightning talk, humor, music/rap, video etc.)
3. Poster presentations:
Interested participants are invited to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words along with a short bio (150 words). A poster presentation is a form of presentation in which all the information related to the work is displayed on a poster. The poster can be designed using any chosen style or design elements. Each participant will have a display board available for mounting their poster, with a total height of 2.2 meters and a width of 1 meter. Posters in A3 size can be mounted in a vertical (portrait) orientation on the board.
Both poster and session presentations should include the following sections:
- Introduction: A brief overview of the background, explaining why the study was conducted.
- Objectives: The problems the work aims to address; the hypothesis/hypotheses or research question(s) the study seeks to prove.
- Methodology: A description of the research method, the subject or study participants, the methodology for data collection, and the criteria used.
- Results: The key findings of the research, with possible references to graphs and/or figures (this section is optional if the study is still in progress).
- Conclusions: A summary of the work.
- Sources and Literature: References used in the research.
